Bio X Cell Reaches a Milestone of 71,000 Pounds of Waste Saved from Landfills and an Overall 80% Decrease in Environmental Impact

FRANKLIN, Mass., June 6, 2022 — Cold Chain Technologies, LLC (“CCT” or “Company”), a leading global provider of thermal packaging solutions for the transportation of temperature-sensitive products for the life sciences industry, announced today that its client, Bio X Cell, has saved over 71,000 pounds of waste from a landfill using a CCT TRUEtemp Naturals® shipping solution.

Bio X Cell, a Lebanon, NH-based company, replaced its expanded polystyrene (EPS) shipping container with a CCT TRUEtemp Naturals® curbside recyclable and repulpable shipper. The company is devoted to supporting scientists in their research while limiting environmental impact.  EPS doesn’t break down in a landfill and has many recycling constraints.  Their new TRUEtemp Naturals® solution is a thermally stable, beautifully designed, curbside recyclable shipper that reduces its environmental impact by 80 percent.

Bio X Cell is a world leader in providing in vivo functional-grade antibodies. For 25 years, scientists have trusted Bio X Cell as their go-to source for in vivo functional grade antibodies. Bio X Cell takes this responsibility to heart and has always focused on one goal: producing the highest-quality antibodies with the best value possible. This unwavering commitment to quality helps scientists research with confidence and discover faster. As a result, Bio X Cell antibodies are now featured in over 17,000 peer-reviewed publications.

#OnlyOneEarth is the campaign for World Environment Day 2022. It calls for collective, transformative action on a global scale to celebrate, protect and restore our planet; Bio X Cell is doing its part by choosing sustainable, repulpable packaging made of natural materials.  To date, CCT has helped Life Sciences companies save over 7 million pounds of waste from a landfill and delivered 3 million curbside recyclable and repulpable shippers to patients and clinicians globally.

“We are thrilled to provide our TRUEtemp Naturals® line of shippers to a New England based company doing important work in the Life Sciences Industry. We continue to assist pharmaceutical companies in meeting environmental goals by offering sustainable solutions and digital optimization,” said Ranjeet Banerjee, CEO of CCT.  “Our shipping solutions are made from natural materials, and our digital tools allow for maximization of logistics lanes and shipper weight, further reducing carbon emissions.”
