Recommended Disposal: These water-based Koolit refrigerants are suitable for disposal in normal waste streams. To recycle, simply cut open a foam brick and dispose of its solid content in the normal waste stream. The pouch may be recycled in centers that accept plastic.

Koolit® Advanced PCM GEL is the industry’s first shape stable organic PCM. All Koolit refrigerant PCMs are made of high quality, non-toxic materials but are not for human consumption.
Recommended Disposal: These PCMs are safe for disposal in normal waste streams. They are suitable for reuse. In addition, we do not recommend disassembling the PCM in an attempt to recycle the film.

Koolit® Liquid Refrigerant PCMs consist of an organic oil-based phase change material, similar to mineral oil, in a plastic pouch. All Koolit refrigerant PCMs are made of high quality, non-toxic materials but are not for human consumption.
Recommended Disposal: We recommend and encourage these PCMs be disposed of appropriately or returned to CCT. PCMs are oils that, while may be safe for disposal, must meet all Federal, State and Local regulations. If not being returned to CCT, we recommend that local oil recyclers be contacted for proper disposal.
For non-qualified applications, all Koolit Refrigerants are reusable as long as there are no signs of damage. For qualified applications they must also meet the original manufacturing specifications (weight & dimensions) to successfully be reusable. To verify these specifications, an internal quality program should be implemented.
Typically shelf-life of most of Koolit Refrigerant products is 12 months from the date of manufacture which is printed on each individual unit. Storage and use conditions can increase or decrease this time considerably.

KoolTemp® EPS containers are, in the broadest sense, a 100% recyclable lightweight rigid cellular plastic that contain 98% air and is completely inert. Most of these products are encased in a 100% paper-board corrugated box. All KoolTemp EPS containers are made of high quality, non-toxic materials but are not intended for human consumption.
Recommended Disposal: KoolTemp EPS containers can be disposed of in the normal waste stream, reused or recycled. EPS may be brought to designated drop-off locations, recycling centers that accept polystyrene (#6), or sent to mail-back locations. EPS may also be safely combusted according to federal, state and local regulations; it releases water vapor, carbon dioxide, and trace levels of ash.
