Single-use systems can suit routes where returns are hard to manage. They can also work well when a purchase model fits the supply chain.
The CCT Edge family is designed for bulk cold chain loads. CCT Edge Core uses water-based refrigerants. It includes options for +2°C to +8°C and +15°C to +25°C. Qualified versions can provide up to 120 hours of protection.
CCT Edge Plus uses phase change materials, known as PCM. It is available in a wider range of payload sizes. Some larger formats can arrive flat-packed. This can reduce storage space and inbound freight needs before use.
Reusable Cold Chain Pallet Shippers
Reusable systems can suit repeat lanes where return flows are practical. CCT's reusable range includes Tower Elite, the KTM range and KT400D.
CCT Tower Elite provides about 1,600 litres of payload space. It accepts both US and Euro pallet footprints. The system supports several temperature ranges. Qualified performance can extend up to 120 hours. Built-in tracking and temperature monitoring can also support shipment visibility.
Other Tower systems cover sub-pallet and larger payload needs. Selected systems support deep-frozen or ultra-cold freight. Rental options may also be available, depending on the programme and region.
Thermal Covers and PCM Protection
A full pallet shipper is not always needed. Some routes need extra protection around an existing palletised load.
CCT offers thermal covers and the CCT Enshield PCM thermal blanket system. Enshield combines a pallet-cover format with PCM-based protection. Options support selected refrigerated, controlled room temperature and frozen uses.
Thermal covers can add protection during loading, unloading, tarmac waits and transfers between sites.
Qualification for the Load and Lane
Cold chain pallet shippers need to perform through the conditions expected in transit. CCT provides thermal packaging qualification for defined shipping needs.
Support can include design, operational and performance qualification. This helps document how a system performs within set limits and expected conditions. CCT can also develop custom thermal packaging when a standard product does not meet the full requirement.
