Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), a global leader in thermal packaging solutions for temperature-sensitive products, has announced a new partnership with E&I Cooperative Services, a member-owned, non-profit sourcing cooperative for the education sector.

Through this agreement, more than 6,000 E&I member institutions – including colleges, universities, K-12 schools and research labs – will gain fast-tracked access to CCT’s trusted cold chain solutions. The products will support a range of educational needs, including scientific research, lab operations, and training in medicine, nursing and other health sciences.

Jim Goebel Sr, Business Development Manager at Cold Chain Technologies, said: “CCT’s extensive portfolio of high-performance cold chain containers is already widely trusted across life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Through our partnership with E&I, we’re looking forward to bringing that same level of performance to the education sector.

“This collaboration not only gives E&I’s members efficient access to industry-leading cold chain solutions but also allows us to expand into a growing sector where temperature control is increasingly critical.”

The partnership allows E&I members to bypass the often lengthy and costly request for proposal (RFP) process, which can take anywhere from 6 to 18 months and involves significant administrative overhead. By leveraging E&I’s competitively solicited contracts, members can save valuable time and resources while gaining access to trusted suppliers.

As part of the agreement, CCT will offer its Rx Series, Rx Naturals line and Advanced SU Conditioned setups to all E&I members through the cooperative’s contract portfolio. The Rx Series delivers durable, versatile temperature control solutions ideal for last-mile distribution. The Rx Naturals line is OCC-E certified, ensuring recyclability and repulpability. The Advanced SU setups utilize vacuum insulated panels and phase change materials to maintain precise temperatures during air and over-land freight, both domestic and international. Together, these products are designed to maximize performance, sustainability, and shipping efficiency.

And, following CCT’s recent acquisition of Tower Cold Chain, the partnership also includes access to the Tower KTEvolution family of transport solutions for small-parcel shipments. This growing portfolio complements CCT’s offerings with innovative, freight-efficient systems engineered for a variety of temperature-sensitive shipments, ideal for both domestic and international educational and research applications.

“This partnership represents a win-win,” added James Goebel. “E&I members will benefit from fast, affordable access to our solutions, whilst we gain a valuable channel into a new sector that aligns with our mission of protecting critical, temperature-sensitive materials.”
