Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the analysis, rationalization, and development of new products, vendors, service offerings and strategies
- Become an NPI expert for the supply chain and internal teams based in Franklin, MA
- Along with Commodity Management, manage current product specifications and verify accuracy for quoting
- Confirm the blueprint of the product before it goes to vendors
- Provide feedback and recommendations about finished product suggestions from vendors to the R&D department for accurate development of the product
- Quote production costs and expenses, and present to management
- Work with the Master Scheduler to coordinate activities and follow up on sample request through production
- Work with the Master Scheduler to plan NPI production activity to support demand at locations throughout North America. Including coordination of the creation and execution of shop orders to support production schedules
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials and NPI finished goods to meet production demands and desired service levels from product development through the transition to a fully released product
- Maintain a strong working relationship with CCT employees as well as create and maintain strong external relationships with vendors
- Communicate issues in a timely fashion
- Other tasks assigned as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's degree and 2 to 4 years of experience, or a master's degree and 2 years of experience in the field, or 5 to 10 years of experience in the field, or any similar combination of education and experience
- Preferred 2 or more years of experience in New Product Introduction and/or Technical Product Development
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to transition seamlessly between technical and commercial topics in both oral and written communication
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company and with suppliers and customers
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment prioritizing tasks across multiple high priority and high profile projects
- Must be a self-starter that excels at completing tasks when given clear goals and the autonomy to work without constant oversight
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams, often with remote colleagues through the use of live video and collaborative conference tools
- Strong knowledge and use of MS Office applications as well as ERP/MRP experience.
- Occasional travel may be required, less than 10%
