Summary:

The Laboratory Technician works with the Project Engineers conducting thermal tests on thermal packaging systems to protect temperature sensitive products. Conducts thermal tests to a protocol. Records observations and measurements and reports results. Responsible for calibrating, programming, operating and maintaining equipment. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct thermal tests, including wiring of thermocouples, chamber and validator programming
  • Perform pack outs of shipping systems to diagrams
  • Assist in creation and proper wiring of the thermocouple location worksheets
  • Record and Process Test Data
  • Work with Project Engineers to understand test priorities
  • Receive and track customer product
  • Follow designated SOPs, Work Instructions and cGMPs
  • Ensure assigned areas and activities are in compliance with all safety guidelines
  • Maintain assigned areas to standards as dictated by 5S practices
  • Maintain and promote both an environment of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Special Requirements (License, Permit, Certification, Physical Limitations, etc…):Qualifications and Requirements:

 

  • 1+ years experience in a laboratory environment
  • Strong communication, prioritization and organizational skill
  • Ability to obtain a fork lift license
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on occasion and 40 pounds or less frequently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities
  • Candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities with minimal supervision
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical or other cGMP-regulated industry is preferred
  • Experience in LEAN principles, 6 sigma, GD&T, Quality System Documentation or GDP is a plus
