TMC Thermax® Ascending High Temperature Indicators

TMC Thermax High Temperature Indicators

The TMC Thermax single-use indicators provide a permanent, tamperproof record of essential data with regard to thermal protection of products that are adversely affected by ascending high temperatures. Available in four models (34°C, 42°C, 49°C, 60°C), they utilize a chemically activated irreversible dye color change that occurs when a monitored environment reaches a high threshold temperature (+/-1°C). During hot conditions, Thermax indicators require special thermal packaging with overnight shipping to prevent a false positive reading prior to use.

Instructions for Use
Storage: The shelf life of the Thermax is one-and-one-half years from date of manufacture. Thermax indicators must be stored in a cool, dry environment that is below 18°C. Preconditioning is not required.

Application: Peel the indicator from its release paper. Apply the Thermax to a clean, dry surface in the container or on the product.

Interpretation of Results: A color change from silver to black in the Thermax bubble indicates that the threshold temperature has been reached. If the bubble remains silver in appearance, the threshold temperature has not been reached.
